With 3 active, and 2 passive frequencies, three antenaes, depth, gain control and Current Measurement the Rycom 8879 provides un-precendented locating capabilities in an attractive and durable package.
Active Frequencies: 815 Hz, 8kHz and 82kHz.
Passive: 50/60 Hz (live Power) and either CP (cathodic 120Hz) or RF (radio frequency).
The CP version is designed for the gas and pipeline industries, and can be used without the transmitter
to locate cathodic protection at depths up to 15 ft, depending on soil conditions. The RF version can be
useful in passive mode to pick up the RF signal in difficult locating environments.
Available with either a 1 watt D-cell or a rechargeable, 2.6 watt transmitter with auto-load matching.
Supports direct and conductive locating.
